Committee for Infrastructure to be briefed by Department on Planning Review

The Committee for Infrastructure will meet to take oral evidence from the Department for Infrastructure as part of its review of Regionally Significant planning applications and impact of Judicial Reviews (JRs).

During the session, Departmental officials will brief Members on the process for managing Regionally Significant applications and related challenges. Members will have the opportunity to question officials on potential reforms aimed at improving efficiency, maintaining appropriate legal safeguards, and supporting timely decision-making.
