Using the power in section 8 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018, this instrument partially amends four EU Regulations relating to electricity and gas to correct deficiencies arising from the United Kingdom’s exit from the EU. It amends provisions of each Regulation which confer powers on the European Commission to make tertiary legislation, substituting powers for authorities in the United Kingdom to make regulations by statutory instrument.
