Following the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union the retained EU Regulation, as amended by this instrument, will continue to implement the UK’s obligations as a Party to the Minamata Convention and provide a regulatory framework for management of mercury across the UK.
This instrument applies to the implementation of the regulatory regime relating to mercury which is a transferred matter for Northern Ireland under the Northern Ireland Act 1998.
