This instrument makes changes to the Conservation (Natural Habitats, etc.)  Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1995 (“the 1995 Regulations”) which transpose the Habitats and Wild Birds Directives so that they continue to work (are operable) upon the UK’s exit from the European Union (EU). This instrument also amends the Wildlife (Northern Ireland) Order 1985 to ensure existing protections continue and makes minor technical amendments to two Articles of the Water (Northern Ireland) Order 1999.
