This briefing paper has been prepared following a request from the Committee on Procedures. The Committee asked for information on what are known as minor, corrective or ‘tidying up’ amendments to bills. The research looked at the House of Commons, House of Lords, Scottish Parliament, Senedd and Dail Eireann. It focused on government bills and members’ bills, where such information was available.
