School Governance

Synopsis: This paper examines school governance with a specific focus on accountability relationships between School Governors, School Principals, Managing Authorities and the Department of Education in Northern Ireland. Crucially, it considers the accountability of Governors to Parents as a key stakeholder in pupils’ education journey.
