Ms Hunter made a declaration of interest that she is a member of the technical advisory council for Synthesia AI.

4. Matters Arising
The Committee considered correspondence from the Department of Education to the Committee for Justice regarding the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2026.
Agreed: The Committee agreed to write to Education Authority to ask for further information.
The Committee noted the list of correspondence received to date on Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Framework.
Agreed: The Committee agreed to write to the Department of Education to establish the level of engagement between principals of special schools and the Education Authority and to establish there is confirmation from Education Authority that schemes can be delivered safely.
Agreed: The Committee agreed to write to the Education Authority to establish the level of support offered to the principals of special schools delivering schemes.
Mr Sheehan raised an issue regarding integrated education.
Agreed: The Committee agreed to seek a briefing from the Department of Education on integrated education.
