1 Apologies

1.1 Apologies were received from Sinéad Ennis and David Brooks.


2 Minutes of previous meeting

2.1 The minutes of the meeting on 8 April 2025 were agreed.


3 Matters Arising

3.1 There were no matters arising.

4 Order Papers and Indicative Timings for Tuesday 6 May


4.1 Members noted that there would be no sitting on Monday 5 May due to the May Day Bank Holiday.

Tuesday 6 May

4.2 Members noted that Question Time was scheduled for the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs.

4.3 Members noted that the Minister for the Economy had informed the Speaker of her intention to make two statements on this date, both relating to NSMC meetings.

4.4 Members noted that all other business remained as scheduled at the last meeting.

4.5 The junior Minister advised that no other business was expected.

4.6 The Committee agreed the Order Paper for Tuesday 6 May.

 

5 Provisional Order Papers and Indicative Timings for week commencing 12 May

Monday 12 May

5.1 Members noted that Question Time would be for the Executive Office and Minister of Education.

5.2 Members noted that no Executive business had been scheduled.

5.3 The junior Minister advised that no other business was expected.

5.4 The Committee agreed to schedule Members’ Statements at the beginning of the sitting.

5.5 The Committee agreed to schedule the following Private Members’ motions:

• Tackling Unacceptable Cancer Waiting Times (DUP)
• International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (ALL)

5.6 The Committee agreed the Provisional Order Paper for Monday 12 May.

Tuesday 13 May

5.7 Members noted that Question Time was scheduled for the Minister for the Economy.

5.8 Members noted that no Executive business had been scheduled.

5.9 The junior Minister advised that no other business was expected.

5.10 The Committee agreed to schedule Members’ Statements at the beginning of the sitting.

5.11 The Committee agreed to schedule an untimed debate for Consideration Stage of the Assembly Members (Remuneration Board) Bill.

5.12 The Committee agreed to schedule the following Private Members’ motion for the SDLP:

• Tackling the Impact of Online Harms on Young People

5.13 The Committee agreed to schedule the following adjournment debate for DUP:

• Impact of the A5 Western Transport Corridor on Local Communities


5.14 The Committee agreed the Provisional Order Paper for Tuesday 13 May.
