Committee for Education Meeting - 05 March 2014
The Committee for Education met on Wednesday 5 March at 10.00am in the Senate Chamber, Parliament Buildings.
As part of its continuing Inquiry into the Education and Training Inspectorate and the School Improvement Process, the Committee will consider:
- an oral briefing from Professor John Gardner;
- a written brief from the General Teaching Council on its survey of perceptions of school inspection; and
- a summary oral briefing from Assembly Research on school inspection in Northern Ireland and other jurisdictions.
In closed session, the Committee considered draft recommendations for its Inquiry into the Education and Training Inspectorate and the School Improvement Process.
