Executive Budget 2016-17: Potential Lines of Questioning

Synopsis: As part of a four-part series, this Briefing Paper aims to facilitate Assembly scrutiny of the Executive Budget 2016-17, both in plenary and statutory committees. Drawing on previous papers in the series, this Paper sets out potential lines of questioning, which seek to ensure the Executive duly considers Northern Ireland’s socio-economic context in its budget allocation decisions, so that departmental ministers are better placed when making decisions about policy and spending throughout 2016-17 and thereafter.
