The Chairman declared the meeting open at 2.50 p.m. The meeting was held in open session

2. Minutes of Proceedings

2.1. Resolved: The Committee agreed the Minutes of Proceedings for 26 June 2001.

3. 2001 / 02 Financial Year - June Monitoring Round

3.1. The Committee was briefed by the Principal Clerk on issues arising from the Minister of Finance and Personnel's statement on the June Monitoring Round.

Mr Hussey and Mr Leslie attended the meeting at 2.53 p.m.

3.2. The Minister attended the meeting with Departmental officials, Dr Andrew Mc Cormick and Mr Norman Taylor.

3.3. The Minister briefed the Committee on the sums available following the June monitoring round and on the additional allocations made to departments and answered members' questions on these matters.

4. PPP Inquiry

4.1. The Committee considered the content of an embargoed press release.

4.2. The Committee provided comment and agreed the press release.

5. Date of next meeting

The Committee agreed the next meeting as Tuesday 3 July 2001.

The Chairman declared the meeting closed at 3.46 p.m.
