The Chairman declared the meeting open at 9.13 a.m. The meeting was held in private until 9.30 a.m. when it was opened to the public.

1. Matters arising:

1.1 Government Resources and Accounts Bill

1.1.1 The Committee deliberated on proposed amendments to be made at Consideration Stage by the Minister of Finance and Personnel to the Government Resources and Accounts Bill.

1.1.2 Motion: That the Committee would not move Amendment 7 and would support Amendment 8 in the Marshalled List (ML1 Bill 6/00) as tabled by the Minister of Finance and Personnel.

1.1.3 Resolved: The Committee agreed the motion.

2. Follow-up to December Monitoring

2.1 The Minister of Finance and Personnel briefed the Committee on the follow-up to the December Monitoring Round including the use of £28 million held over from the allocation in the Minister's December Monitoring Statement to the Assembly on 22 January. The Committee questioned the Minister.

3.1 There was no other business.

4. Date of next meeting

4.1 Resolved: That the Committee meet on Tuesday, 13 February 2001 at 2.30 p.m. in Committee Room 144.
