The meeting opened, in private, at 12.14pm

1. Apologies

Apologies were received from Mr D Hilditch, Mr E McMenamin and Mr J Shannon.

2. Presentation by Dr Colin Tindall, Senior Lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Queens University

Dr Tindall gave a presentation to the Committee on the workings of Hydro-electric schemes. The presentation was followed by a brief question and answer session. The Chairperson thanked Dr Tindall for his informative presentation. The Chairperson advised that the presentation would be extremely helpful to the Committee as it progresses with its inquiry into Inland Fishing.

3. Date of next meeting

The next meeting of the Committee will take place on Thursday 29 June at 10.15am in the Senate Chamber.
