ALL PARTY GROUP ON FUEL POVERTY
A meeting of the APG on Fuel Poverty has been scheduled to take place on Tuesday 8th September 2026 in the Senate from 12:00 to 13:00.
The APG will hear from Dr Patrick Keatley, CEO of EnergyCloud Northern Ireland, who will outline how surplus renewable electricity can provide free energy to households experiencing fuel poverty. He will share lessons from EnergyCloud NI’s work since May 2025 and discuss how the scheme, alongside smart heating and energy-storage technologies, could be expanded across Northern Ireland.
