Changes to Standing Orders and AGM of the APG on Online Safety for Children and Young People

CHANGES TO STANDING ORDERS


On Monday 29 June 2026 the Assembly agreed two motions brought by the Committee on Procedures that make the following changes to Standing Orders:

i. The repeal of Standing Order 70 Privilege and a number of consequential amendments.

ii. The addition of a new Standing Order 43A Scrutiny of Delegated Powers in Bills.

The website version of Standing Orders has been updated and printed inserts to bring hard copy versions of Standing Orders up to date will be issued in due course.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE ALL-PARTY GROUP ON ONLINE SAFETY FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE

 

A remote/virtual Annual General Meeting of the All-Party Group on Online Safety for Children and Young People to carry out the annual election of office bearers has been arranged to take place on Wednesday 9 September at 10.00am-11.00am using the Teams platform. A Teams invite will be sent out in due course.

The AGM will include an evidence session on the theme of screentime, with further details on presentations to be provided in the coming weeks.
