The Speaker received notification from the Executive, in accordance with section 52A (1) of the Northern Ireland Act 1998 (as amended), that a North South Ministerial Council Institutional meeting will be held on 13 September 2024.

ALL PARTY GROUP ON REDUCING HARM RELATED TO GAMBLING
The All-Party Group on Reducing Harm Related to Gambling will meet at 1:00pm on Tuesday 8 October 2024 in Room 21 Parliament Buildings the subject of which will be the Gambling Codes of Practice.

ALL PARTY GROUP ON AGEING AND OLDER PEOPLE
A meeting of the All-Party Group (APG) on Ageing and Older People has been arranged to take place on Tuesday 24th September at 10.30 – 2.00pm in The Long Gallery, Parliament Buildings.
All Members are welcome to attend.
The meeting will take place as part of a stakeholder event on the topic Preparing for an Ageing Society. A panel of speakers will present recent data on ageing in Northern Ireland and issues impacting older people. This includes Age NI’s Lived Experience research and the Commissioner for Older People’s report At the Centre of Government Planning: The Programme for Government and Preparing for an Ageing Population. Thematic presentations will cover older people and the economy; pensioner poverty; health and social care priorities for older people; age-friendly communities; and discrimination and rights.
Following the presentations, members are invited to participate in roundtable discussions with older people about the issues impacting their lives and how the Programme for Government could address these. Discussions will be facilitated by Age NI’s peer facilitators from 12:30pm and lunch will be served.
