The heating schedule for Parliament Buildings is currently 7am – 5pm during the working week. On Mondays and Tuesdays when the Plenary Sessions are held, the heating schedule is adjusted to suit the extended working day. The heating is generally left off at weekends unless exceptionally inclement weather is forecast or a large public event is due to be held in the Building.

Parliament Buildings has 446 rooms and whilst it is not possible to monitor the individual occupancy rates, the building is fully utilised from Monday to Friday with reduced occupancy at the weekends.
