Health Committee Focuses on Capital / Infrastructure Programme

Top of the agenda at the next meeting of the Northern Ireland Assembly Committee for Health, Social Services and Public Safety will be the Department’s Capital/Infrastructure Programme.

The meeting is open to the public and takes place in the Great Hall, Downshire Hospital in Downpatrick on Thursday 20 May at 2pm. At the meeting, representatives from the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety will give evidence to the Committee.

Speaking before the meeting, Chair of the Committee, Jim Wells MLA said:

“It is important for the Committee to understand what the Department’s spending priorities are in relation to its Capital/Infrastructure Programme in order to ensure the highest quality of service is provided across Northern Ireland”

Following the meeting the Committee will have a presentation and tour of the new Downe Hospital, situated in the grounds of Downshire Hospital with representatives from the South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust.
