EU Private Storage Aid
The Department for Agrculture, Environment and Rural Affairs wrote to the Committee to inform of new regulations publsihed by the European Committee to open Private Storage Aid (PSA) schemes in the dairy and meat sectors.
The Committee considered the correspndence in its informal meeting on 14 May 2020 and agreed to write to the Department, the The Northern Ireland Meat Exporters Association (NIMEA) and the Livestock and Meat Commission (LMC) to request that it is kept informed of the level of uptake by the local processors and whether this has helped to stabilise market turbulence and outline any other issues which have emerged.
