Agri Food Sector Market Intervention
On Tuesday 19th May, the Finance Minister made a Statement to the Assembly regarding the COVID-19 response and announced an additional £30.3m of COVID-19 funding for the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs. This includes £25m set aside for Agri Food Sector Market intervention. The Committee are interested in hearing the views of the main industry stakeholders about their opinions and thoughts on how this funding may be used to best effect. The Committee subsequently wrote to these stakeholders asking them for their views.
