2. Draft Minutes of Meetings 6 & 8 November 2012

Agreed: The minutes of the meetings held on 6 and 8 November 2012 were agreed.

3. Chairpersons Business

The Chairperson advised Members that, at the request of the Minister, there was a tentative meeting scheduled with him that evening.

4. Small Charitable Donations Legislative Consent Motion – Departmental Briefing

The Committee considered the draft Committee report on the Small Charitable Donations Bill Legislative Consent Motion

Mr Sammy Douglas joined the meeting at 10.13am

Agreed: The Committee agreed the draft report on the Small Charitable Donations Bill Legislative Consent Motion.               

5. Correspondence

The Committee noted correspondence from the Department regarding welfare reform.

The Committee also noted correspondence from the Minister advising the Committee of his intention to table a number of technical amendments at Consideration Stage of the Charities Bill.

Members were content for the remaining correspondence items to be dealt with as per the correspondence memo.

6. Forward Work Programme

The Committee noted the Forward Work Programme

7. Any Other Business

There was no other business.

The next meeting will take place at 10:00am on Tuesday 20 November 2012 in Room 144 Parliament Buildings.
