2. Consideration of the Committee’s Report into its Inquiry on Maximising the Potential of the Creative Industries
The Committee received a briefing on the draft report.
David Hilditch joined the meeting at 10.18am.
Karen McKevitt joined the meeting at 10.22am.
The meeting was suspended at 10.36am.
The meeting resumed in closed session at 10.56am.
William Humphrey joined the meeting at 10.56am.
Oliver McMullan returned to the meeting at 10.57am.
Mr William Irwin returned to the meeting at 11.01am.
Rosaleen McCorley returned to the meeting at 11.05am.
Following the briefing, there was discussion on the draft recommendations.
Agreed: The Committee agreed to schedule a meeting on Tuesday 27 November 2012 to consider the draft report.
3. Any other business
The following Members indicated that they will attend the Committee stakeholder event with sports governing bodies on 22 November 2012: Miss Michelle McIlveen (Chair); Mr William Irwin (Deputy Chair); Mr Dominic Bradley; Mr David Hilditch; Ms Rosaleen McCorley; Mrs Karen McKevitt; Mr Oliver McMullan; and Mr Cathal Ó hOisín.
4. Date and Time of Next Meeting
The next meeting of the Committee for Culture, Arts and Leisure will take place on Thursday 22nd November in Room 21, Parliament Buildings.
The Chairperson adjourned the meeting at 11.27am.
