1. MINUTES OF THE THIRD MEETING

The minutes were adopted.

2. MATTERS ARISING

2.1 The visit to Westminster and the Oireachtas was confirmed for Monday 21st to Wednesday 23rd June. The Committee would travel to London on Monday afternoon, travel to Dublin on Tuesday afternoon, and return to Belfast by train on Wednesday afternoon.

2.2 Tom Evans agreed to contact Members individually with a programme for the visit and further details of travel arrangements.

3. PRESENTATION BY MR DAVID COURT, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF THE GOVERNMENT PURCHASING AGENCY

3.1 The Committee received a presentation from Mr David Court, Chief Executive of the Government Purchasing Agency. The presentation covered:

Y the background to the current Mount Charles contract;

Y key issues for consideration in determining a future contract; and

Y an offer of assistance in making provision for future needs.

3.2 A brief question and answer session followed, after which Members agreed on the need to hear from someone in favour of in-house provision.
