Committee to Visit the Lough Neagh Fisherman’s Cooperative Toomebridge and Ballyronan Marina
Synopsis: The Northern Ireland Assembly Committee for Culture, Arts and Leisure will visit the Lough Neagh Fisherman’s Cooperative in Toomebridge on Thursday 4 July 2013. Members will receive briefings from the Lough Neagh Fisherman’s Cooperative, Dr Derek Evans from the Agri-food and Bio Science Institute and from the Lough Neagh Dollaghan Trust.

The Northern Ireland Assembly Committee for Culture, Arts and Leisure will visit the Lough Neagh Fisherman’s Cooperative in Toomebridge on Thursday 4 July 2013.
Members will receive briefings from the Lough Neagh Fisherman’s Cooperative, Dr Derek Evans from the Agri-food and Bio Science Institute and from the Lough Neagh Dollaghan Trust.

Venue: Lough Neagh Fisherman’s Cooperative Toomebridge
The Committee will tour the grading and packaging plant, where Members will sample smoked eels. The visit will end at Ballyronan Marina where the Committee will be given a tour of an eel fishing boat and meet with local fishermen.

There will be photography opportunities between 12.15pm – 12.45pm when the Committee will meet with local fishermen at Ballyronan Marina.
