Motion: Twenty Years on from the St Andrews Agreement
Proposed:
That this Assembly notes that 20 years have passed since the St Andrews Agreement and the restoration of the devolved political institutions after a period of collapse; recognises that this Agreement, while enabling devolved decision-making to return, and securing progress on policing and justice, embedded certain reforms which have served to undermine effective decision-making and trust in government; regrets that once again we have entered into another period of significant political instability which will delay progress in addressing critical challenges to key public services, particularly in the absence of a budget, while further undermining trust and confidence in our institutions; believes that it is always better to have devolved decision-making in place than the alternative; and affirms that any move to collapse the institutions would be contrary to the public interest and would be a dereliction of duty.

Motion: Building Political Consensus
Proposed:
That this Assembly recognises that Northern Ireland faces a number of long-standing and increasingly urgent challenges which cannot be left unaddressed; notes that issues including health transformation, wastewater infrastructure and the sustainability of the school estate have remained unresolved across successive mandates; believes that addressing these challenges will require difficult decisions, sustained investment and political leadership beyond any single party or electoral cycle; further believes that continued political disagreement cannot be allowed to become a barrier to necessary reform; and commits to work together to build a new political consensus on these key challenges, agreeing a shared set of priorities and actions as part of a new Programme for Government, underpinned by a multi-year budget.

Motion: Racial Equality Legislation
Proposed:
That this Assembly marks Black History Month 2026 and celebrates the contribution of black people and communities to Northern Ireland; expresses deep concern at the increase in race hate incidents and crimes, which reached record levels in 2025-2026; believes that everyone should be able to live free from racism, discrimination and intimidation; expresses regret that the Executive Office has not introduced racial equality legislation as promised in the Executive’s 2025-2026 legislative programme; and calls on the First Minister and deputy First Minister to explain the reasons for this.
