Review of Costs: Marriage and Civil Partnership Bill

Synopsis: Seeking to support Assembly scrutiny, this Review of Costs addresses key potential “public purse” implications arising from the Marriage and Civil Partnership Bill, if enacted as introduced. The Bill increases the minimum age for marriages and civil partnerships, as well as placing non-religious ‘belief’ marriages on the same statutory footing as religious marriages, thereby amending existing law.
