1 Apologies

1.1 Apologies were received from Philip McGuigan and Nuala McAllister.

2 Minutes of previous meeting

2.1 The minutes of the meeting on 19 May 2026 were agreed.

3 Matters Arising

3.1 There were no matters arising.

4 Order Papers and Indicative Timings for week commencing 1 June

Monday 1 June

4.1 Members noted that Question Time was scheduled for the Minister of Education and Minister of Finance.

4.2 Members noted that no additional Executive business had been scheduled.

4.3 Members noted that all other business remained as scheduled at the last meeting.

4.4 The Committee agreed the Order Paper for Monday 1 June.

Tuesday 2 June

4.5 Members noted that Question Time was scheduled for the Minister of Health.

4.6 Members noted that Consideration Stage of the Justice Bill would commence on this date, and a large number of amendments had been tabled.

4.7 Members noted that no additional Executive business had been scheduled.

4.8 The Junior Minister advised that no additional Executive business was expected at that time.

4.9 Members noted that all other business remained as scheduled at the last meeting.

4.10 The Committee agreed the Order Paper for Tuesday 2 June.

5 Provisional Order Papers and Indicative Timings for week commencing 8 June

Monday 8 June

5.1 Members noted that Question Time was scheduled for the Executive Office and Minister for Infrastructure.

5.2 The Committee noted that Consideration Stage of the Justice Bill had been scheduled to continue and agreed to schedule an evening suspension at around 6pm.

5.3 The Committee agreed to schedule a motion to suspend Standing Orders 10(2) to 10(4) from the Minister of Justice.

5.4 The Committee agreed to schedule Members’ Statements at the beginning of the sitting.

5.5 The Committee agreed that no Private Members business would be scheduled.

5.6 The Committee agreed the Provisional Order Paper for Monday 8 June.

Tuesday 9 June

5.7 Members noted that Question Time was scheduled for the Minister of Justice.

5.8 Members noted that Consideration Stage of the Justice Bill had again been scheduled and agreed to schedule an evening suspension at around 6pm.

5.9 The Committee agreed to schedule Members’ Statements at the beginning of the sitting.

5.10 The Committee agreed not to schedule Private Members’ Motions or an adjournment debate.

5.11 The Committee agreed the Provisional Order Paper for Tuesday 9 June.

6 Any Other Business

6.1 The matter of naming dissenting voices instead of calling a division in the Chamber was raised. The Speaker undertook to consider this matter.

6.2 There was no other business.

7 Date and Time of Next Meeting

7.1 The Speaker advised that the next meeting would take place during the lunchtime suspension on Tuesday 2 June in Room 106, Parliament Buildings.
