Northern Ireland Assembly Calls on Upper Bann to ‘Get Involved’

Synopsis: The Northern Ireland Assembly will be at Brownlow Community Hub, Craigavon on Friday 8 November to meet with locally based voluntary and community sector groups.

The Northern Ireland Assembly will be at Brownlow Community Hub, Craigavon on Friday 8 November to meet with locally based voluntary and community sector groups.  

The ‘Get Involved’ event, part of the NI Assembly’s new initiative Assembly Community Connect, will feature training and information sessions on how the local voluntary and community sector can work better with the Assembly and its MLAs.

Participants will be given advice on how to get their message across to the Assembly and its Committees as well as practical tips on how to submit to and participate in Committee inquiries. 

MLAs will also take part in round table discussions with local Community groups to find out more about local issues and concerns.

Media are welcome to attend this event. There will be opportunities for interviews and photography with local MLAs* between 11.30am and 12pm
