Minister of Education to Brief Committee

The Northern Ireland Assembly Committee for Education will be briefed by the Minister at its meeting on Wednesday 9 April 2014.

The Committee has asked the Minister to update Members on revisions to controversial proposals to change school budgets.

The Committee has also asked the Minister to identify the barriers to the progress of the Education Bill and the challenges to the administration of education presented by the Reform of Public Administration (RPA).

Additionally, the Committee has asked the Minister to set out his plans to review vacancy control and the numbers of staff who are currently working in the Education and Library Boards.
