Assembly Committees to Host ‘Stem Is Cool’ Event
Synopsis: The Assembly’s Education; Employment and Learning; Enterprise, Trade and Investment; and Culture, Arts and Leisure Committees in partnership with the Northern Ireland Science Park will attend a special event on Wednesday 29 January 2014 to promote the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Subjects.

The Assembly’s Education; Employment and Learning; Enterprise, Trade and Investment; and Culture, Arts and Leisure Committees in partnership with the Northern Ireland Science Park will attend a special event on Wednesday 29 January 2014 to promote the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Subjects.
The ‘Stem is Cool’ event will feature exciting new projects by students from St Mary’s College, Derry, Wellington College, Belfast and South Eastern Regional College, all of whom were finalists in this year’s BT Young Scientist of the Year Awards 2014. Leading experts from the fields of business, science and education will also discuss how we can work to inspire young people to aspire to careers in STEM related industries.

Venue: Long Gallery, Parliament Buildings
