Perspectives on the Ulster Covenant lecture

The Speaker of the Northern Ireland Assembly, Mr William Hay MLA, will host an event in Parliament Buildings this evening as part of its “Perspectives On…” series to mark the decade of centenaries. 

This evening’s event--a lecture by Dr Jonathan Bardon--is entitled Perspectives on the Ulster Covenant, and will take place in the Long Gallery at 6.30pm.

The “Perspective On…” series is the approach agreed by the Assembly Commission to mark events during the decade of centenaries within Parliament Buildings. The Assembly Commission is the corporate body of the Assembly, chaired by the Speaker and with one member from each of the main parties.

Guests for the lecture include MLAs, the Ceann Comhairle Mr. Seán Barrett T.D.; the Shadow Secretary of State, Vernon Coaker MP; Kate Hoey MP; Naomi Long MP; Ian Paisley MP and the Rt Hon Lord Bannside and Baroness Paisley.
