Committee to Celebrate Chinese New Year with Chinese Art Exhibition

Synopsis: The Northern Ireland Assembly Committee for Culture, Arts and Leisure will launch a Chinese art exhibition in Parliament Buildings to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year. The exhibition is a joint venture between the Committee and the Confucius Institute at the University of Ulster.

The Northern Ireland Assembly Committee for Culture, Arts and Leisure will launch a Chinese art exhibition in Parliament Buildings to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year. The exhibition is a joint venture between the Committee and the Confucius Institute at the University of Ulster.

Speakers at the event include: the Speaker of the Northern Ireland Assembly, Mr William Hay MLA; the Acting Consul General for People's Republic of China, Madam Ma Dayun; and the Chairperson of the Committee, Ms Michelle McIlveen. A Chinese cultural performance of Taiji is also scheduled to take place after speeches.
