11:00am to 12:00pm - An Introduction to the Irish Language - Oireachtas
Join Irish Speakers Seána Foran and Caitríona Ó Sullivan as they share their passion for the Irish Language (Gaeilge). This promises to be an engaging webinar for absolute beginners where they will help you navigate the pronunciation of names, equip you with a few useful phrases and explain some of the terms that you might be familiar with - for example, if Taoiseach doesn't mean Prime Minister, what does the title mean?

10:00am to 11:15am - Acquiring knowledge as an introverted leader - Senedd Cymru/Welsh Parliament
This webinar will explore how you can use your introvert strengths to deepen and extend your knowledge and add value to your work. We’ll look at ways to convert information into knowledge by carving out reflection time and using it wisely to gather lessons and insights. We’ll explore how you can add to your knowledge by making the most of your introvert strengths in research or analysis whilst also reaching out to people who bring different perspectives. Finally, we’ll touch on ways to capture and store your knowledge so you can come back to make use of it later!

11:30am to 12:30pm - Sign Language in Parliament - Oireachtas
Join Caroline O'Leary and Ciara Grant, Irish Sign Language Interpreters, for a discussion of the development of sign language services in the Houses of the Oireachtas, including a recently launched ISL Glossary of Parliamentary Terms which was developed in collaboration with the Centre for Deaf Studies in Trinity College Dublin and others.

10:30am to 11:30am - Overcoming Imposter Syndrome - Northern Ireland Assembly
During this workshop participants will learn techniques in overcoming the imposter syndrome to achieve their full potential for personal success. Content includes:
• The imposter’s mindset.
• Overcoming limiting beliefs.
• Reclaiming your personal power.
• Boosting self-esteem and confidence.
• Guidance on self-care strategies.

Join Tom Clarke (Interpreter (Irish), Official Report) who will provide guests with a brief introduction to how the Irish language has influenced townland placenames across Ireland.

3:00pm to 4:30pm - Two languages, Two Opportunities - Scottish Parliament
The Secret life of Gaelic and BSL. In this interactive online event, the Scottish Parliament’s Gaelic and BSL officers will look at the similarities and differences between the Gaelic and BSL communities looking at their day to day work at the Parliament and such issues as place-names, nicknames, dialects, identities, terminology and current issues within each community. At the end we will teach some common phrases in both languages. This will be of interest to anybody with an interest in languages or who deals with different languages in the course of their parliamentary work.

10:30am to 12:00pm - The Power of Coaching - Northern Ireland Assembly
In today’s fast-changing world an authoritarian leadership style will not sustain the creative and adaptable workforce needed for success, a coaching style will. Developing the ability to hold effective coaching conversations gives you the skills to empower others and encourage independent problem-solving. Research shows that leaders who coach their team members see increasingly higher levels of employee engagement, motivation, and efficiency. This 1.5hrs session will give you an opportunity to learn more about a coaching leadership style, it will give you an insight into the benefits of workplace coaching and how this is different to mentoring. It will take you on a journey through the coaching spectrum. You will be introduced to OSCAR which is an effective framework used to structure coaching conversations.

This workshop will educate employees on how to work more productively, manage their time and set achievable goals. Content includes:
• Deep dive into work and life via the wheel of life tool to understand areas for improvement.
• Introduction of the TGROW model to set goals, commit and take action.
• Techniques for time management and working smarter.
• Creating a culture of healthy behaviours within the workplace to maximise productivity.
• Investing in wellbeing for peak performance.

10:00am to 11:00am - How to Become a Confident, Empowering Speaker - Northern Ireland Assembly
You’re asked to do a presentation and your immediate reaction is fear - it’s the last thing you want to do, but you know you have to do it as part of your role! Speaking in front of an audience whether it’s online or in person can be a really daunting prospect for many of us. The nerves, the sweaty palms, the dry mouth, that knot in your stomach, the fear! However, it is possible to get over all your fears about public speaking.
"Join me for an interactive workshop where you’ll learn about how to structure a speech, how to craft a powerful message and how to deliver a speech with confidence, passion, poise and power. As a professional speaker I know exactly what it feels like and I’ve learned to overcome all my fears, so if I can do it you can too! It’ll be fun I promise you… "
Penny Wood is an international professional speaker, who’s presented to audiences around the world. She also coaches individuals to overcome their fear of public speaking because she’s experienced it herself and knows what we all go through. Some of her clients have reached the semi-finals of the world championship of public speaking and she will be sharing her tools and techniques with us so that we can all become confident, empowering speakers.
