Committee for Justice Meeting - 15 October 2014

The Committee for Justice met on 15th October at 2:00pm in Room 21 Parliament Buildings when the Committee were briefed on prison issues by members of the Prison Officers' Association.

The Committee were also briefed by officials from the Department of Justice and Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety on the consultation responses and way forward in relation to the new domestic and sexual violence and abuse strategy.

The Committee also considered a six-monthly update on the implementation of the Access to Justice Review recommendations, the Prison Review Oversight Group Summary Report, and considered proposals for oral evidence sessions in relation to the Justice Bill.
