Committee for Justice Meeting - 08 October 2014
The Committee for Justice met on 8th October at 2:00pm in the Senate Chamber, Parliament Buildings when the Committee were briefed by Mr Brendan McGuigan, Chief Inspector of Criminal Justice, on the Criminal Justice Inspection's First Staged Report on an assessment of the impact of the Department of Justice's Legal Aid Reform Package.
The Committee were then briefed by Departmental officials on its draft consultation document on the Criminal Law on Abortion in Cases of Lethal Foetal Abnormality and Sexual Crime.
The Committee were then briefed by Mr George Hamilton, Chief Constable of the PSNI, on the PSNI Budget and associated pressures.
