Committee for Education Meeting - 14 May 2014
The Committee for Education met at 10.00am on Wednesday 14 May in the Senate Chamber, Parliament Buildings.
The Committee were briefed by Dr Ken Harland, University of Ulster, on the "Taking Boys Seriously" longitudinal study of educational attainment for boys in Northern Ireland.
The Committee also received a briefing from the Department of Education in response to the Northern Ireland Audit Office report on employee absence in schools etc.
In closed session, the Committee considered a final draft of the report into its inquiry into the Education and Training Inspectorate and the School Improvement Process before considering the terms of reference for its inquiry into Integrated and Shared Education.
