The Minister was accompanied by:

Dr Miriam McCarthy Director of Secondary Care
Dr Ian McMaster Medical Officer

2.22 p.m. Dr Deeny joined the meeting

Members discussed the following issues with the Minister:

Cuan Mhuire, the Agenda for Change, the provision of Alzheimer’s Drugs and expensive Drugs for other conditions, the Review of Public Administration, arrangements for the transfer of Prison Healthcare, Healthcare Associated Infections and the Regulation of Pharmaceutical Profession.

The Minister agreed to provide written answers to the Members questions.

The Chairperson thanked the Minister and officials’ for attending.

The next meeting will take place on 29 November 2007 at 10.00 a.m. in the Room 135, Parliament Buildings.

The Chair person adjourned the meeting at 3.43 p.m.
