APN 257 - 22/27: APG on Loneliness and APG on Suicide Prevention
ALL PARTY GROUP ON LONELINESS
A meeting of the All-Party Group (APG) on Loneliness has been arranged to take place on Tuesday 23rd April at 1.30 – 2.30pm online using Zoom.
All Members are welcome to attend.
Taking place ahead of Global Intergenerational Week 2024, this meeting will focus on how loneliness can be tackled through an intergenerational approach. The agenda will include speakers from Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, who will outline the intergenerational support across the devolved nations, and learnings that can inform the development of a Northern Ireland Loneliness Strategy. Members will also have an opportunity for questions and discussion.
An invitation will be emailed separately to each APG member and on request to any other MLAs who wish to attend.

ALL PARTY GROUP ON SUICIDE PREVENTION
A remote/virtual meeting of the All-Party Group on Suicide Prevention has been arranged to take place on 10th April 2024 from 1pm – 2:30pm using the Zoom application.
The meeting will hear updates from:
- Caroline King, Papyrus - around their work with young people
- Ethan Redmond – a local campaigner who helped to produce a recent video around Autism & Mental Health/Suicide Prevention.
An invite will be emailed, on request to each MLA who wishes to attend, providing instruction on how to join the remote/virtual meeting on Zoom.
