Impact of Giro d'Italia event in Stormont Estate

TABLING ARRANGEMENTS ON FRIDAY 9 MAY 2014 – IMPACT OF GIRO d’ITALIA EVENT IN STORMONT ESTATE

As a result of the Giro d’Italia passing through the Stormont Estate on Friday 9^th May 2014, along with the other associated events that will be taking place and the necessary road closures within the Estate, the Assembly Commission has taken the decision to close Parliament Buildings on that day.

This will mean that the Business Office will not be open on Friday 9^th May.  

Members and party support staff are, therefore, asked to note that normal arrangements will not apply as regards -

• Submitting amendments to motions; and
• Submitting Assembly questions.

Amendments to motions

Amendments proposed to motions on the Order Papers for both Monday 12^th and Tuesday 13^th May must be submitted by 9.30am on Thursday 8^th May.

Assembly Questions

Any Assembly Questions submitted on Friday 9^th May cannot be processed.  If Questions are submitted electronically on that day, they will be processed on Monday 12^th May, and will be treated as having been tabled out of Monday’s allocation of five Questions per Member.
