Freedom of Information Act 2000

I am writing to confirm that the Northern Ireland Assembly Commission (Assembly Commission) does not hold the information, which you requested on 22nd January 2021.  In your request you asked for the following information:

“In view of the recent advice from the World Health Organisation regarding the cycle thresholds in the PCR tests carried out in the NHS, and by private providers.

I’d be grateful if you could confirm the amplification cycle thresholds currently in use for the north of Ireland, in both the public and private sectors.

I would also be grateful if you would confirm what steps are being undertaken to standardise these tests in line with WHO guidelines, since they are the measure by which efficacy of lockdowns are being measured.”

The Assembly Commission does not hold this information.

Individual Members may have asked questions on these subjects.  All questions and answers received are published on the Assembly’s website and are searchable.

Members may also have tabled motions or other types of plenary business on these topics.  All plenary items, including motions, are published on the Assembly’s website, and are searchable.

On this page, you can search all types of plenary business.  If you only want to search motions, choose Motions from the drop down menu under the heading Plenary Business Type, and click search.

If a motion has been debated by the Assembly, a link to the Official Report (Hansard) of that Assembly debate will be included in the search results.

You have the right to request a formal review by the Assembly Commission and if you wish to do so, please write to me at the above address.
