I am writing to confirm that the Northern Ireland Assembly Commission (Assembly Commission) does not hold the information, which you requested on 28th July 2020. In your request you asked for the following information:
“I request the following information under the freedom of information act of 2000. A full statistical count, disclosure and description of subsequent action concerning all reports detailing:
(A) Racist hate incidents.
(B) Racist acts of civil discrimination.
(C) Racist hate crimes. (Including murders or attempted murders)
Committed against any black employee by any white employee or any white employee against any black member of the public.
Between Saturday, the 25th of April 2020 through to Saturday, the 25th of July 2020.”
The Assembly Commission does not hold information relevant to your request set out above. The Assembly Commission does not hold any record of any such incidents noted in A-C above, between 25th April and 25th July 2020, committed against any black employee by any white employee or any white employee against any black member of the public.
“Please also include any information stating when a black person will become Speaker of the Assembly.”
The Assembly Commission does not hold information relevant to this request. The Assembly Commission is unable to provide information on future appointments to the role of Speaker of the Assembly, which is governed by the Northern Ireland Act 1998.
