The sales, like in all the catering outlets within The Northern Ireland Assembly, are recorded using EPoS (Electronic Point of Sales) tills. EPoS systems are extremely user-friendly and include touch screen technology which enables the preparation and publication of sales report including individual product, their price and number of sales achieved. However, the system does not log the customer’s identity and therefore the Northern Ireland Assembly is unable to determine which individual or political party generates the most sales.
The Members’ Bar is open Monday to Friday between 9:00 and 19:00; however the sale of alcohol is only permitted after 11:30. The Members’ Bar is closed during Recess periods.
At any one time the Members’ Bar is staffed by one member of the catering contractor’s staff on a roster basis with other catering outlets within Parliament Buildings.
