Artwork Commissioned

From 1998 to date, 6 pieces of artwork have been commissioned with a total cost of £76,800.  Details of the 6 pieces are noted below:

2003 ‘The House will Divide’ – depicting the MLAs elected to the Assembly during its first mandate, painted by Noel Murphy, the painting is oil on canvas.  It currently hangs in the Senate Chamber in Parliament Buildings and cost £45,000.

2003, a portrait of the former Deputy First Minister Seamus Mallon, painted by Rita Duffy.  The painting is oil on canvas, currently hangs in the Members’ Dining Room in Parliament Buildings and cost £10,000.

2005, portrait of the former Speaker Lord Alderdice, painted by Carol Graham. The painting is oil on canvas, it currently hangs in the Members’ Dining Room in Parliament Buildings and cost £8,000. 

2011, portrait of the former First Minister, the Rt Honourable Lord Trimble of Lisnagarvey, painted by David Nolan.  The painting is oil on canvas, it currently hangs on the first floor of Parliament Buildings and cost £3,800.

2011, portrait of the former Deputy First Minister, Mark Durkan, painted by Conor Walton. The painting is oil on canvas, it currently hangs on the first floor of Parliament Buildings and cost £5,000.

2011, portrait of the former Speaker, Eileen Bell, painted by Conor Walton. The painting is oil on canvas, currently hands in the Members’ Dining Room and cost £5,000.
