The Assembly holds statistics on proposed amendments and successful amendments to primary legislation per mandate.

Since the beginning of the 2011-2015 Mandate the statistics are as follows:

Please note that these figures do not include amendments tabled recently to the Marine Bill and Welfare Reform Bill as these have not yet been voted on, though if you want to include those, you will find the Notice of Amendments, showing amendments tabled to date on those Bills via the following links:

Specific statistics per session are not held but the information needed to calculate the figures are available online and the figures can be accessed as follows:

a)    click on to the following links:

b)    check that the Bill had its Consideration Stage or Further Consideration Stage in the relevant session (i.e. from September 2010-March 2011)

c)    If it did, click on the Bill title in the left-hand column to display the associated Assembly documents;

d)    If no Marshalled List is displayed, the Bill was not amended so there are no amendments to count;

e)    Where one or more Marshalled Lists are displayed, click into each of them and note the number of amendments tabled and the number made – this will be indicated in brackets beside each amendment.

f)     This will give you the total number of amendments tabled and made in the 2010-11 session.
