Government Salaries
Salaries paid to Ministers, MLAs and Special Advisors: -
The Northern Ireland Assembly Commission does not process salaries for Special Advisors as the salary for Special Advisors are paid by the employing Government Departments. Please find a link to the Northern Ireland Executive and contact details for departments below:

All MLAs (including Ministers) are paid under the terms of a determination. Up to 31 March 2012, salaries were paid under the Northern Ireland Assembly (Members’ salaries) Determination 2000.
From 1 April 2012 the Northern Ireland Assembly Members Salaries, Allowances, Expenses and Pension Determination 2012 will apply. MLAs (including Ministers) nominate a bank account to receive salary payments. The Northern Ireland Assembly Commission has not provided banking details of individual Members for the reasons set out in Appendix A.

Salary payments for all members (including Ministers) are processed by the Northern Ireland Assembly Commission in accordance with relevant legislation and HR Revenue & Customs (HRMC) rules including the payments of PAYE and National Insurance.
