I am writing to confirm that the Northern Ireland Assembly Commission (Assembly Commission) has processed your request dated 23 January 2025 in line with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA). In your request, you asked that the Assembly Commission provide-

"[T]he percentage pay rise for the post of AG6 Accountant at the Northern Ireland Assembly for the following financial years:

The Assembly Commission holds some of the information in relation to your request.

In negotiation with the Northern Ireland Public Services Alliance (the trade union recognised by the Assembly Commission), the following percentage pay rises for the following years for the AG6 grade which includes the AG6 Accountant post:

The 2017 Pay Award included the reduction of the number of pay points from five to three which resulted in different percentage increases.

Negotiations on the 2025-26 and 2026-27 Pay Award have not yet commenced.

AG6 Accountants are also entitled to a Salary Supplement of £4,375 effective from 1 January 2023. The 2024 Pay Award included a 3% increase in salary supplements.
