I am writing to confirm that the Northern Ireland Assembly Commission (Assembly Commission) has processed your request dated 2 January 2025 in line with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA). In your request, you asked that the Assembly Commission provide-

"I am submitting a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding the funding allocation per pupil for different types of schools and educational institutions in Northern Ireland. Specifically, I am seeking the following information:

  1. Funding Allocation Per Pupil
  2. Data on the funding allocated per pupil for the following school types from 2020 to 2024:Controlled Schools
    • Maintained Schools
    • Irish-medium Schools
    • Other Maintained Schools
    • Voluntary (Grammar) and Integrated Schools
    • Institutions of Further and Higher Education
    • Independent Schools
  3. Please include: The annual funding amount allocated per pupil for each school type. A breakdown of funding allocation for each school type by region, if available."
