The committee was established to advise and assist the Minister for Regional Development, Conor Murphy MP MLA, on matters within his responsibility as a Minister. The committee undertakes a scrutiny, policy development and consultation role with respect to the Department for Regional Development and plays a key role in the consideration and development of legislation.

Latest News

The Committee will receive a Departmental briefing on responses received to the Committee’s call for evidence on the Roads (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill, which is in Committee Stage.

Two further Departmental briefings will be received, firstly, on proposals to amend Water Quality Regulations to satisfy an EC reasoned opinion and, secondly, on the Department’s Revised Expenditure Plans 2010-11 from DRD and Road Service Officials.
