CHANGES TO QUESTION TIME AT THE ASSEMBLY

Question Time at the Northern Ireland Assembly is changing.

From 8 June 2009, Question Time will now take place on Mondays from 2.30 to 3.30 pm and on Tuesdays from 3.00 to 3.30pm. Questions to the Assembly Commission will now take place every 12 weeks on Tuesdays at 3.30pm.

From 15 June 2009, Junior Ministers in the Office of the First Minister and deputy First Minister will be able to respond to questions for which they are responsible.

From 22 June 2009, the first question may not be from a member of the same party as the Minister to whom it is addressed.
