Public Asked to Give Views on the Assembly and Executive Reform (Assembly Opposition) Bill

The Assembly and Executive Review Committee has announced the beginning of its scrutiny of the Assembly and Executive Reform (Assembly Opposition) Bill. The Private Members’ Bill, introduced by John McCallister MLA, sets as its principal objective the formation of an official Opposition in the Assembly.

The Assembly and Executive Review Committee is keen to ensure that members of the public are aware of the proposals within this important bill and have an opportunity to have their say.

The consultation period will run until Tuesday 10 November 2015. Further information on the proposed scope of the bill, as well as the Call for Evidence submission paper, is available on the Assembly website here:
